Antarctica, falkland islands, south georgia, Tristan de cunha.

When you visit places like Antarctica it reminds you that life is short, bigger than you, interconnected and full of perfection. It can leave you feeling that your problems and concerns are minor and small. It can open a world of possibilities.

The history of our mark on some of these places is horrific, the scars of whaling history mar some sites but are slowly being swallowed back by nature. Fortunately the animals do not seem to carry the memory of their forefathers and are unbothered by our presence. Some curiously observing or coming up for a closer look, other just carrying on with their everyday tasks totally ignoring us.
